"The Decathlon is designed to celebrate the academic gifts of Australian youth by providing a stimulating and challenging competition run in the spirit of an Olympic Decathlon."
A month ago, our school participated in the annual Da Vinci Decathlon which is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students. Students compete in teams of eight across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics and chess, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy.
Usually, this competition is held at Knox, but this year, it was hosted online over Zoom to follow the COVID restrictions in place. Our girls took part in this competition from the comfort of the school library and despite all the sudden Zoom glitches, puzzling questions about Leonardo Da Vinci and crazy Vibe session, everyone performed with admirable teamwork and excellence. Congratulations and thank you to the girls for their outstanding work!
