Exhibition Workshop Arts Centre

Creative Club begins Term 3. As there were many responses to the call out for interested applicants for the first VA Creative Club, which is calligraphy classes with Mr. Patrick Siu, this information should be of interest. Mr Sui’s work will be on exhibition along with the work of his current students. Also Mr Siu will give some demonstrations at the times mentioned below.

From Mr Siu:

I have been teaching at Workshop Arts Centre (WAC) in Willoughby for 5 years. My students are mature people and they do not have time to practice. Their standard is not high, but I still want to organise a small exhibition to keep them motivated.

I plan to give a demonstration on 31 August (Saturday) from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at WAC.

2 demonstrations on 7 September (Saturday) from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

The topics are: Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthem (similar to those of our Creative Club).

WAC is not near to the railway station. There are buses going from Chatswood Interchange Station to various destinations and pass by Laurel Street. Bus 343, 340, 257.

From Laurel Street bus stop, walk for 2 to 3 minutes. The Gallery (Exhibition hall) is on the first floor of WAC.

From the bus stop at Mater Hospital opposite to NSGHS, Bus route 343 goes to Chatswood via Laurel Street.

Parents are most welcome. Street parking on Saturday around WAC is not difficult.
