School Communication Protocols

Our communication protocols have been put together to ensure that your enquiry reaches the appropriate staff member and is dealt with in a timely manner.

Parents

Where possible, please contact the school during school hours: 8:00-3:30pm by phoning the front office: 9922 6666.

Any contact outside of school hours should be directed to the school’s email so that your enquiry can be passed onto the relevant staff member: northsydgi-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Students

Where possible, please arrange to speak directly with your teacher or other staff members during school hours.

If you need to make contact with a staff member outside of school hours, you may email them directly; however, you need to understand that they are not required to respond to your email outside of school hours: 8:00-3:30pm.

If your contact is of a more general nature, such as informing the school of illness, then you should send an email to the school’s email so that your message can be passed onto the relevant staff member: northsydgi-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

External support services

The Wellbeing page on the school’s website contains links to external support services if parents or students need to talk to someone outside of school hours.

 

COVID – 19 Testing

Please inform the school if your child is being tested for Covid-19.

Before your child is able to return to school, you must send a copy of the test results to the school’s email:northsydgi-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
