Congratulations to year 9 who created truly exceptional illustrations in response to the theme Capturing Country (Sydney). Students experimented with a broad range of illustration techniques, including drawing, pen and ink, watercolour, collage, acrylic painting and scratchboard.
This exciting program was differentiated to develop and refine student’s individual interests, skills and techniques and integrated the practice of other artists.
In Critical and Historical Studies students created a collaborative group video that applied the conceptual framework to understand and draw comparisons between First Nations and Western perspectives and artistic traditions examining how they construct visual notions of Australia’s identity.
Below are a few of the students’ incredible illustration.
