The Year 9 Food Technology students have been hard at work this year developing their nutritional understanding of foods and building practical skills in the school kitchens. One of the topics studied has been “Food in Australia” where students explored various influences on the meals in Australia today. Both classes had the opportunity to have a half day incursion specifically focused on the influence the Lebanese culture has on food in Australia today. Students learnt how to make traditional meals using traditional techniques still used by many families in Australia today. Attached to this article are some photographs of the day.
