The Mock Trial Competition is a program run annually by the Law Society of NSW that offers high school students an opportunity to participate in a mock court. It allows those who are interested in the law to gain some valuable knowledge and experience while at school. Each team consists of two barristers, two witnesses, a solicitor and a court officer.

Teams are given briefs and based on that information, must prepare a case and argue it against another team from another school. The trials are presided over by volunteering barristers who then determine the outcome of the case and the competition.
